Downtown Parking Guide

General:  Always check signage!  City parking is free unless you see meters.

2-hour parking:  on most downtown city streets

4-hour parking:  in most parking lots and garages

Permit parking only:  on top decks of parking garages and most small lots

Motorcycle parking:  in any slot designated for cars

RV parking:  at the extreme south ends of downtown S. Main and Liberty Streets on the street labeled with 10-hour parking.

Tour buses and motorcoaches:  same as RVs

Public Parking Bruce and Liberty Street

Bruce Street Entrance

Parking garages:  one at 135 N. Mason St.  Enter from either Wolfe St. or Elizabeth St.  The other is located at 154 S. Liberty St.  Enter from either Bruce or Water Street.  These are one-way streets; use caution.

Parking lots for the public are located at (check posted time limit):

268 N. Liberty St.

90 N. Main St.

450 N. Mason St.

125 W. Water St.

13 E. Water St.

125 W. Bruce St.

409 S. Main St.

228 S. Liberty St.

 

James Madison University parking:  Check in at the Parking Services office at 280 Champions Dr. to receive a permit.  Bring your driver’s license and vehicle registration.  Permits can only be issued in person.

Eastern Mennonite University:  Check in at the Facilities Management office at 994 Parkwood Dr.  Long term permits are available for those returning to campus frequently (parents and family members).
