Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Food Distribution and Advocacy Event to End Food Insecurity

The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham Free Drive-In Food Pantry for Those in Need on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 16 to recognize his commitment to service and advocating for all people.

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King’s work, The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham (HR) is hosting a free food distribution in partnership with The Brent Berry Family Food Drive on Monday, January 16.
Interested in receiving a free food box for you and your family? We got you. No qualifications or ID needed. This is a drive through food pick up so swing by anytime between 1 – 4 PM at The Lucy F. Simms Continuing Education Center (620 Simms Avenue, Harrisonburg, VA 22802) to grab your free box of food.
Additionally, we’ll be hosting an opening ceremony for the year long work around food insecurity our organization is committing to throughout 2023. Join us beforehand from 12 – 1 PM as Ronnie Brandon delivers the “I have a dream speech” by MLK Jr. We’ll also be awarding Brent Berry on behalf of him and his family’s work collecting food donations.
Rain date is Saturday, January 21, 2023.
