Harrisonburg Songtuary Community Song Circle

June 24 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Join us for a musical melding of contemplation and play! We joyfully join voice in song, evoking a rich mix of easily learned songs and chants. Our goal is not perfection or performance, but presence and authenticity.
We sing in resonant spaces, both indoors and outside, typically standing in a circle, facing each other. All songs are taught by ear, without sheet music or paper. Participants are encouraged to sing and listen in equal measure. No prior singing experience necessary – all voices welcome!
This event is free but donations are accepted.
Facilitated by Craig Green and Cleo Keller.
Located in the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum Pavillion – 780 University Blvd, Harrisonburg, VA 22807, USA.
Harrisonburg Songtuary is a community song circle that seeks to propagate co-enchanting cohorts of contemplayful singers. Made possible by the Arts Council of the Valley and the Office of Creative Propulsion in JMU’s College of Visual and Performing Arts – https://www.jmu.edu/arts.
