Gary and Lynne Hess live on 240 beautiful acres of farm land within walking distance of the Harrisonburg city limits. According to Lynne, “offering educational field trips to pre-school and elementary age students has been a priority for us since the beginning. Having grown up on farms, we believe it’s important that the heritage of agriculture and its importance in our everyday living is critical to a child’s education.” Understanding agriculture leads to a better understanding and appreciation of where their food comes from as well as the history.
