First Friday- Through My Window, Ceramics by LP Keller

Come enjoy the grounded and inspiring ceramic art of LP Keller. Each piece in this show was painted colors of a different landscape LP has seen through her window.
Refreshments provided, and enjoy clay & art activities for all ages. Plus, tour the Friendly City Clay & Art Center, and the Manufactory Collective, with its community of small businesses.

I am often amazed by the incredible color combinations of Earth’s landscapes. I have a collection of photos that were taken through my car window. None of the photos are amazing, but they capture the color combinations that caught my eye. Each of these pieces is a functional work of art. They were wheel thrown, hand carved, painted, and glazed. Each color series is inspired by a particular snapshot through my window.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: LP Keller is a local art educator and ceramicist. While earning her B.F.A. in Studio Art from James Madison University, she fell in love with the Friendly City and now calls it her home. She loves to travel to new landscapes, make her daughter laugh, and play with clay.
