X2 Comedy Night!

$20 for the comedy show includes token for a free drink at Beards & Broads new location in Broadway, VA! This show features local comedians Dawn Davis Womack, Chris Womack, X2 Comedy’s Basement Comics, Ben Creed & Headliner, Dewayne White, a combat-wounded vet & stand up comedian based in DC!

OPENERS: Basement Comics, a group of local comics: X2 Comedy was founded in 2018 by local comedian Dawn Davis Womack. Her husband, Chris Womack, a James Madison University professor started stand up in 2021 and regularly performs on X2 Comedy shows. In 2022, the comedy couple started meeting with some of the local talented funny people monthly in their basement to workshop material and work on their craft calling the group the “Basement Comics”.

FEATURE: Ben Creed, based out of Raleigh, NC: Ben has a storytelling style will leave you laughing and feeling better about yourself. You may recognize him from his appearances on the Kill Tony podcast, but maybe not. He’s been a semi-finalist in both the Funniest in North Carolina contest as well as the Funniest in Texas. He has also opened for notable comedians such as Tony Hinchcliffe, Owen Benjamin and Crystal Powell.

HEADLINER Dewayne White, DC-based: Dewayne is a standup comedian and a combat-wounded Army veteran who served in the Army for 23 years. His humor is drawn from his unique take on his military experience, his life as a husband and father, and the general craziness of life. He has worked alongside amazing comedians like Josh Blue, Sal Vulcano, Mark Normand, Tony Woods, and many others. Dewayne is also an instructor for the Armed Forces Arts Partnership’s Comedy Bootcamp, a 6-week crash course for service members, veterans, and their family members. Check out his 2023 Sizzle Reel!
